Manufacturing Technologist

BRAEBON Medical Corporation is a leading developer of sleep diagnostic products. We require a talented, self-motivated individual to join our Production Team. This dynamic person will have responsibilities throughout the product lifecycle, including inspection, assembly, testing and troubleshooting of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies, as well as product sustaining support. Prototyping of potential NPI designs and the development of test jigs, some software may also be required; this an intermediate level position.

Job Function
In this role you will:
•  Assist in the evaluation of incoming electronic components and assemblies to ensure conformance with specifications and tolerances
•  Conduct life tests (burn-ins) on assemblies and record and analyze results
•  Create quality reports and documentation
•  Build and test prototypes to specifications
•  Act as a bridge between engineering and manufacturing
•  Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electronics, PCBs, electro-mechanical assemblies
•  Solder and de-solder (SMT) surface mount electronics components
•  Use schematics to troubleshoot and correct failures at the component level
•  Evaluate returned materials for cause of failure

Requirements
•  Minimum of 4 years experience in a related field
•  Completion of a post-secondary program in a related discipline
•  Familiarity with CAD programs, or other electronics or mechanical design software
•  Demonstrated ability to take initiative, responsibility, and leadership in a team environment
•  Familiarity with ISO, FDA, or six-sigma an asset
•  Excellent knowledge of analog and digital electronics, including the ability to read schematics to isolate and troubleshoot failures
•  Strong communications and interpersonal skills, proficiency in both written and oral English is an absolute essential requirement
•  Strong soldering skills, IPC certification an asset
